The weather throughout the weekend was a bit up and down. Friday was a very nice day actually with sunny skies and temperatures almost reaching 50 degrees F. As the day progressed on Friday I noticed that patchy cirrus clouds slowly turned to some alto-level clouds and by the nightfall stratus clouds had moved in. This told me that precipitation of some sort was in store for Saturday. Sure enough I woke up to rain. The rain persisted throughout the day, coming down quite hard at times. Some lingering showers were in the area today as well, even shifting to snow a little after noon for about an hour. The image of the jet stream below shows that we are in a trough right now. The direction of the jet stream should bring northwest winds, and cold air with it. The current conditions map below the jet stream image shows an area of high pressure to our northwest, so the jet stream should bring us some cold and relatively clear conditions tomorrow.
