Weather Underground is my favorite all around weather site. A thorough current conditions section with lots of information provides a good starting point for all of my blog posts. Also, this site has a variety of maps that in my opinion are nice to look at and easy to read. I also quite like their photos section that provides some interesting weather related photos.

This is a weather website that is provided through the government using the taxpayers dollars. I like this website because it provides a lot of different, useful maps that may be hard to find elsewhere. Information for this site comes from many stations around the country and the station for our area is in Chanhassen, MN. One of the main things I like about this site is the map showing any and all warnings that have been issued by the National Weather Service for the entire country. This link is to Eau Claire's forecast.

This link is one of my favorites when looking at forecasts. Maps forecasting conditions around the country in eight increments between 12 hours and 6 days into the future. The maps are also easily interpreted, with some of the basics like possible precipitation labeled. From this link there are many other maps that can be located on the National Weather Service website.

A good jet stream map is a very good thing to have when trying to describe the weather patterns that are currently affecting a region, as well as critical to determining future forecasts. This link is for one of my favorite jet stream maps but will also provide an easy place to navigate to more useful maps.

Weather.com is a very popular website that has a large monetary backing that allows it to provide a lot of content that is not possible for some of the other websites. This website is the online affiliate of the Weather Channel on cable television that many of us are familiar with. In addition to a large amount of quality maps, this website has a lot of video content and areas for specific interests such as travel and recreation. All around Weather.com provides a large amount content that is easily navigable. This link is for my favorite current conditions map that I use in most of my daily blog posts.
