Temperature: 14°F
Feels Like: 8°F
Humidity: 55%
This morning started out just like yesterday ended, very cold. Temperatures warmed up by mid day though, almost reaching 20 degrees F. Conditions were mostly sunny throughout the day with a cloud here and there. Tonight could dip down into the negatives yet again, which is not a good thing for my heating bill. Tomorrow should be a bit cloudier than today and warm up a little with highs in the mid 20's. By tomorrow night we could be experiencing the effects of Winter Storm Q that has been traveling through the western half of the country over the week. Most of the expected snow will probably arrive on Friday.
Winter storm Q is currently over the central part of the country, bringing snow to the Rockies and the Great Plains. A warm front coming from the Gulf of Mexico will likely provide the storm with more power as it heads our way.
The jetstream shows a trough coming down trough Colorado and into New Mexico. The jetstream looks like it will be bringing Winter Storm Q directly to us from Colorado, Kansas and Nebraska. The only question is how intense the storm will be when it reaches us. I will keep the blog updated in the days to come.
