I was unable to update my blog yesterday due to technical difficulties, but the weather was anything but boring. A storm system containing rain, snow, and most everything in between hit us for the better part of the day yesterday. Temperatures in the lower to mid 30's made for an interesting situation. Rain transitioning to freezing rain, transitioning to snow, and back and forth between the three began early morning. The precipitation subsided during the afternoon hours for the most part but continued again overnight producing more snow and rain. Conditions this morning were less than desirable on the roads. I even had to drive over an hour to pull a friend out of the ditch at 5 a.m. Today was much less eventful, with cloudy conditions and temperatures in the lower to mid 30's for the duration of the day. 

The increasing barometric pressure throughout the day will probably lead to clear and sunny conditions tomorrow.

The jet stream is not creating any weather conditions of interest in our area, but the trough in middle of the country is producing cool conditions in the same area as cold northerly winds extend south.

A cold air mass moving south behind the front in the southeast is currently producing stormy conditions.

 This map shows the forecast for the middle of the afternoon tomorrow. Stormy conditions should continue in the south, with a high pressure system moving our way bringing clear conditions.
